New Mercedes C200 Developed Interior Stitching Defect
Only three months after purchasing my brand-new Mercedes-Benz C200 Sedan, I noticed that the stitching on the driver's door armrest had started to come apart. I took the vehicle to Gelecek Mercedes, an authorized Mercedes-Benz service center, in April 2026. However, I was told that the damage was caused by "user error" and therefore would not be covered under warranty. When I asked how a failed interior seam could reasonably be considered customer-caused damage, I was not given a clear or satisfactory explanation.
When the vehicle reached six months of ownership and had only 14,000 km on the odometer, I experienced another serious issue. Both the front and rear tires developed sidewall bulges. I returned to the same authorized service center, but I was again informed that the tires were not covered under warranty and that nothing could be done. It is unacceptable for a brand-new Mercedes-Benz C200 to develop both interior stitching defects and tire sidewall failures within the first six months of ownership, only for every issue to be dismissed as customer responsibility.
My vehicle's license plate is 34 AHM 175. I request that Mercedes-Benz replace the defective door armrest under warranty and provide a fair, customer-focused solution regarding the tires with sidewall bulges rather than automatically attributing the problem to user error. This experience has seriously damaged my confidence in the Mercedes-Benz brand, and I expect my complaint to be resolved promptly and fairly.
