On the night of May 23, 2023, I paid a deposit of 50,000 Turkish Lira online to Mercedes in order to confirm my order on May 24. However, they demanded an additional advance of 350,000 TL from me. (I conducted these transactions through Gülsoy Oto Florya). In total, I ended up paying 400,000 TL. We signed the necessary documents, and my order was confirmed. I received the definite order form, which included the vehicle identification number. They estimated that the car would arrive in 15-20 days and assured me that they were waiting for customs clearance. They promised to inform me when the vehicle arrived at their warehouse, and I would have to complete the payment within 5 days to take delivery. But while waiting to receive my car, I received an email on the night of June 13, stating that my order had been canceled because the deadline had passed. I immediately contacted Gülsoy Oto and Mercedes, questioning how they could cancel it without asking me. Gülsoy Oto took 3 days to respond, saying they were investigating, but they didn't know the reason for the cancellation. I contacted Mercedes daily through emails and phone calls, and they claimed that they forwarded the issue for investigation. They deceived me with their lies, promising to get back to me after a single call and investigation, but no one contacted me. It was a complete chaos and indifference. Finally, on June 25, 2023, I communicated with Mercedes again, both in writing and over the phone. The customer representative told me that they had forwarded the matter to the relevant department and asked if I hadn't received any response. I questioned why I should call if they had already contacted me. They said they would make an urgent note, but it was just another baseless excuse, and they abruptly hung up. Clearly, I was deceived in a classic dealer scheme, where they would sell or had already sold the car to someone else at a higher price. And they canceled my order without any explanation or justification. When I paid 400,000 TL, the Central Bank's exchange rate for the Euro was around 20 TL, which meant 400,000 TL equaled 20,000 euros. Today, that amount would be 560,000 TL. They claimed that they would refund my money within 14 days after sending the cancellation email, but by June 27, 2023, my money had not been refunded. In summary, what separates Mercedes from a simple car dealer who collects people's money without delivering the cars and profits off our payments? There is no one to hold accountable; it's all a whirlwind of lies. I hereby declare that I will complain to the relevant authorities while reserving my legal rights. If Mercedes Turkey can prove the opposite of what I have described, I have all the documents and correspondence to support my claims.
