Mercedes-Benz Did Not Provide a Replacement Vehicle Despite Service Appointment
On December 5, 2024, we scheduled a maintenance appointment for our 2023 model GLC180 with Mercedes-Benz Service for December 19, 2024, and specifically requested a replacement vehicle. Since we reside in Tekirdağ Çorlu, having a replacement vehicle was crucial, so we postponed the maintenance appointment by two weeks to ensure its availability. However, when we arrived at the service center at 10:00 AM today, we were informed that no replacement vehicle was available and that they couldn’t provide one. Despite having three authorized Mercedes-Benz service centers between Tekirdağ Çorlu and Gülsoy Florya, we chose Gülsoy Florya because we purchased our vehicle there. Unfortunately, Mercedes-Benz has shown itself to be highly ineffective, indifferent, and unresponsive in its after-sales services within Turkey. When we contacted Mercedes-Benz Türk A.Ş.'s customer service to file a complaint, we were told: “We will log your complaint, but the service response will be that no replacement vehicle was available.” This approach left the issue unresolved. It is disappointing that such a globally renowned automotive brand fails to meet the expected service standards in Turkey. Their dealerships and service centers fall far short of providing a customer-oriented experience. Sadly, this is not just limited to Gülsoy Florya but seems to be a broader issue across all authorized Mercedes-Benz service centers. Mercedes-Benz Türk A.Ş. appears to pass responsibility onto service centers, avoiding accountability altogether. For current and prospective Mercedes-Benz owners, service experience is likely to be one of the most disappointing aspects of ownership. If you are a regular customer without personal connections to dealership owners or influential status, this is the kind of treatment you can expect. I never thought I would write a complaint about Mercedes-Benz, but due to repeated similar experiences in previous service visits, I felt it necessary to highlight this issue. We sincerely hope Mercedes-Benz will improve its service standards and that our complaint reaches the appropriate authorities.
