Marriott Hotels Pool and Spa Lacked Hygiene, Causing Severe Illness

During our stay at the Şişli Marriot, the pool and wet area facilities were shockingly unhygienic and poorly supervised, leading to serious health issues for my group. Despite repeatedly reporting concerns, no action was taken to address the unsanitary conditions. Tourists entering the pool in inappropriate attire like tank tops and shorts, combined with the lack of enforcement of basic rules such as requiring swim caps, created an appalling environment.

As a result, all three of us fell seriously ill twice during our visit. Instead of enjoying our vacation, we spent our time dealing with health complications caused by the hotel's negligence. For a five-star hotel under a globally renowned brand like Marriot, this experience was unacceptable and deeply disappointing.

This has not only ruined our vacation but also shattered our trust in Marriot's standards. As an avid traveler and frequent hotel guest, I will never recommend this property to anyone. Immediate action and accountability are expected to address these lapses in hygiene and management.
