Mango Refused to Exchange an Unused Item with Tags, Claiming It Smelled of Perfume
I recently visited Mango to exchange a product that was unused, with the tags and receipt still intact. Despite this, the staff refused to process the exchange, claiming the item smelled of perfume. This is absurd, as I have not used the item, and it doesn’t even have a scent of perspiration or any other noticeable odor.
As a store manager myself, I find it unacceptable to be falsely accused of using a product simply to avoid honoring an exchange policy. When I asked to speak with the store manager, I was ignored, and a cashier was sent in their place. Why have a store manager if they refuse to address customer concerns?
I will escalate this issue to Consumer Rights and send a detailed report to Mango’s headquarters in Spain. It’s clear that Mango’s customer service standards in Turkey have severely declined. I demand an explanation and a resolution for this humiliating experience.
