On September 18, 2022, I purchased a one-year membership at Macfit 42 Maslak. As the end of this period approached, just a few days before September 18, 2023, they informed me that my membership would soon expire, and I needed to visit the club. Upon discussing my dissatisfaction with the terms and clearly stating that I wouldn't be continuing my membership, they simply responded with a nonchalant 'okay' without providing any further information. To my surprise, I recently discovered that they have been deducting a significant amount from my card for the past 5 months. When I inquired, their response was that I should have canceled it through the app, so they continued to charge me. Despite explaining the situation, their only retort is 'It was in the contract.' Macfit is blatantly squeezing money from customers who express their unwillingness to continue their membership.
