Lunchbox Marmara Park Staff Uses Slang and Casual Speech with Dining Guests
On Sunday, August 2, 2026, at approximately 14:50, my companion and I dined at the Lunchbox branch in Marmara Park Mall. When we signaled for service, a waiter responded across the floor with the overly familiar and unprofessional phrase, "geliyoruz kardeşim" ("we're coming, brother"). Upon arriving at our table, the same employee continued using overly casual language, stating, "heh buyur kardeşim" ("yeah, go ahead, brother").
Addressing paying restaurant guests with slang and improper familiarity undermines basic professional service standards. Frontline hospitality staff must maintain respectful, polite, and neutral boundaries with all patrons.
I demand that Lunchbox corporate management instruct the Marmara Park branch supervisors to conduct a staff meeting on professional customer communication and issue a formal warning to the employee involved.
