On March 28, 2025, my spouse B** A*** and I traveled with LOT Polish Airlines from Istanbul to Warsaw and then onward to Bydgoszcz with a connection. In Istanbul, our suitcase was taken from us and placed in the aircraft’s cargo hold. When I went to the baggage claim area in Bydgoszcz to collect my suitcase, I saw that it was broken. I informed the staff at the airport that our suitcase was damaged, but because we do not speak English, we were unable to communicate properly. I waited for my daughter to arrive, and once she came, she spoke with the staff on our behalf. We were asked to fill out a form, which we completed, and we were given reference number BZGLO10481. Even though we clearly informed them that we would be returning to Turkey on April 1, 2025, a request was made for the suitcase to be delivered to our accommodation, Hostel Ratuszowy, by March 31, 2025; however, the suitcase was never delivered. Based on the reference number provided, my daughter sent several emails, but the responses stated that there was no issue, even though no replacement suitcase was ever delivered to us. As a result, we were forced to return to Istanbul with the broken suitcase, which caused us significant difficulty during transport. I am requesting that this matter be urgently investigated and that steps be taken to remedy our hardship by delivering a replacement suitcase as soon as possible either to my address in Turkey or to the dormitory where my daughter is currently staying. I believe that LOT Polish Airlines should not put passengers through this much trouble over a single suitcase and that it is not an airline that is incapable of compensating for a damaged bag. I respectfully request that the necessary actions be taken and that our hardship be resolved without further delay.
