My Lenovo MP24LR79 computer’s power adapter exploded due to water damage. When I contacted the service center, they informed me it would take 7-14 days to get a replacement. As an engineering student with exams, I tried short-term solutions. After a while, I reached out again a week ago to request the adapter. The service representative assured me I’d receive an email with a price quote within two days. On the third day, I called again and mentioned I hadn't received any email. The representative admitted they forgot to send it and told me they’d issue a new request, promising I’d hear back by Monday.
When I called Monday at 5 PM, I still hadn’t received an email. They assured me it would arrive the next day. Today, I called again and was told they were too busy to respond but would now issue another request. A few minutes later, I was informed they didn’t have a replacement adapter. When I asked for a solution, they said there was none. They couldn’t source it from another country, nor could they guarantee compatibility if I sought help from another Lenovo service center.
What am I supposed to do, throw my device away? I’ve only had it for 1.5 years. It’s not a decade-old device that parts are unavailable for, yet they don’t even have a suitable replacement. They’re forcing me to buy one from an external source, and if it damages my device, they’ll blame me. For the past 1.5-2 weeks, they’ve been giving me the runaround. My computer is essential for my engineering studies. This is the worst service and the worst brand I’ve ever encountered. I will inform everyone to avoid Lenovo. They’ve completely turned me off this device. They don’t fulfill any promises or provide solutions. The only email they’ve sent me is a survey asking if I’m satisfied with their service. Let me tell everyone, this is the worst company I’ve ever dealt with.
