We purchased a Lava cast iron pot a while ago, choosing it specifically for its reputation for quality and health-conscious design. Cast iron cookware is both expensive and heavy, so we made this decision with trust in the Lava brand. Unfortunately, that trust has been completely broken.
After only light use, we noticed significant rusting—especially around the lid and the areas where the lid connects to the pot. This level of rust on a cast iron product in such a short time is completely unacceptable. It’s not only a major durability issue, but also a serious health concern.
We followed all care instructions properly. The pot was not mishandled, and the issue is clearly not user-related. For a product that was barely used, this kind of corrosion should not be happening.
