I used the La Roche-Posay makeup removing cleansing gel, and unfortunately, a small amount got into my eye. Since then, my right eye has been burning and swollen shut for hours. I’m shocked and extremely disappointed that a product from such a well-known skincare brand could cause this level of discomfort and eye damage.
This isn’t a cheap product, and for the price I paid, I expected safe, gentle, and dermatologically tested performance—not something that would leave me in pain and unable to function properly. The stinging was so intense I had to stop everything I was doing, and I’m still dealing with the aftermath.
I will never use this brand again, and I strongly warn others with sensitive eyes or skin to be cautious. I demand an official explanation for how a product labeled for facial cleansing can cause this much harm if it contacts the eye, and I expect some form of accountability or compensation. This kind of reaction is unacceptable from a brand that markets itself as safe for sensitive skin.
