I purchased the La Roche-Posay Anthelios UVMune 400 Dermo-Pediatrics Hydrating Lotion, expiration date 01.2027, from a pharmacy before the winter season to stock up. About a month ago, I opened the product and started using it. Unfortunately, I immediately noticed that it offered no sun protection at all. Despite applying it properly, it failed to protect my skin, and to make matters worse, it caused an allergic reaction that made my hands swell.
I have been a loyal La Roche-Posay customer for over 15 years, and this is the first time I have encountered such a disappointing experience. It is incredibly frustrating, especially considering the significant amount of money paid for these products, which are sold at much higher prices than many alternatives.
The 250 ml product has now gone completely to waste. I noticed the packaging design has changed recently, and I strongly believe that the new packaging was not adequately tested for product preservation. Alternatively, there might be a chemical issue with this batch.
