I Can’t Add My New Phone Number to Kwai Due to Verification Code Issue

I originally signed up for Kwai with my old phone number, which is now deactivated and completely inaccessible. I want to update my account with my new number, but every time I try, the system insists on sending a verification code to the old, canceled number. How am I supposed to access a number that no longer exists?
When I try entering my new number, it says “this number is already in use”—which makes no sense because I’ve never used this number to create a Kwai account. I’m stuck in a loop with no clear solution. I just want to access my account and link it to my current number.
Please fix this issue or provide a way to verify identity without the old number. This is extremely frustrating for loyal users. I’d really appreciate it if someone from Kwai support could reach out and help resolve this promptly.
