I Paid Extra for Refund Option on Kiwi.com But Got Nothing Back for Canceled Ticket

Hello. I purchased a flight through Kiwi.com for travel to Ljubljana, Montenegro, scheduled for May 21 to May 23, 2025. My original ticket cost was €150, but I paid an additional €40 specifically for a refundable ticket option, bringing the total to €190. I had to cancel my plans and submitted a cancellation request 17 days in advance—well within any reasonable window for a partial refund, especially since I paid for refund coverage.

Instead of a proper response, Kiwi.com delayed communication for 20 full days, only to eventually send me a message stating no refund would be issued—without offering any reasonable justification. This is completely unacceptable. What exactly did I pay the extra €40 for if not to protect my right to cancel?

This feels like a deceptive practice, and I intend to pursue my consumer rights to the fullest. If I do not receive a fair refund immediately, I will file formal complaints with the appropriate authorities and share my experience across every available consumer review platform. Kiwi.com, you must take responsibility and honor the refund coverage you charged me for.
