Karcher FC 5 Premium Clean Water Spraying Issue and Poor Repair Experience
In November 2023, my friend and I each purchased a Karcher FC 5 Premium, and both devices simultaneously started having issues with spraying clean water. Following the company’s instructions, we shipped both devices together under warranty in July 2024 using their partner courier service, which picked them up directly from our doorstep. Initially, I was impressed with their promise of a seamless process, thinking, “Wow, a German company is really thorough!” Little did I know, our nerve-wracking, frustrating journey was just beginning.
Our package seemed to take a scenic tour of Turkey, traveling across the country before finally arriving at the Halkalı location in Istanbul from Ankara a week later. I half-jokingly thought they must have walked the package over. After about a month, we were told both repaired devices were shipped back. I braced myself, half expecting another long delay, only to find out the package had gone on an extended world tour—eventually getting lost in transit. Calling the company, they said it was delivered to Halkalı. Calling Halkalı, they said it was sent to us. The courier service, well, was beyond useless.
After a frantic search, we finally managed to get our hands on our elusive devices, though still broken. I opened the box with excitement—double-boxed, neatly wrapped in bubble wrap, it was a beautiful package. But the moment I unwrapped the plastic, my heart sank. Both devices had broken connection points, presumably snapped during repair, and were packed with the damage still visible. The good news? The repair was technically completed, though the devices were sent back in worse condition than before. I couldn’t help but think, “What on earth have we gotten ourselves into?”
