I requested a full refund yet JustFly charged me something called a handling fee. What is it?

When using a service like JustFly to make a reservation for travel, the travel agency or third-party vendor may charge a "handling fee" to cover the costs of handling the reservation. This charge goes toward paying for various things, such as:
• Payment processing fees are the sum spent on ensuring the safety and efficiency of monetary transactions in connection with a travel booking.
• Issuance of Travel Documents: All costs associated with creating and delivering tickets, vouchers, or any other documentation required for your trip.
• The fee could help cover the cost of offering customer support services. All the manpower and tools needed to respond to passengers' questions, resolve their problems, or make necessary adjustments to their reservations.
• Upkeep of Booking Systems: Expenses associated with the management of the travel agency's website and other booking systems.

Handling fees are generally applied on a per-transaction basis. However, some tour operators charge a single, uniform fee to process any bookings. Several factors, including the agency, the type of reservation made (airfare, hotel, or vacation package), and the final destination, can affect the exact amount of the handling fee.

While some passengers may be surprised to learn that their travel agency charges them for "handling," many others do not. However, handling fees are commonplace with JustFly.
