Jeep Compass Hybrid Warranty Denied Over Delayed Maintenance

I would like to express my disappointment regarding the decision to exclude my 2024 Jeep Compass Hybrid from warranty coverage. Until now, I have viewed Jeep as a brand that stands behind its vehicles and values its customers. Trusting the brand, I own two Jeep vehicles, a Compass and a Renegade. However, my recent experience has seriously undermined my confidence in Jeep.

In May, I visited the authorized Otokoç Yenimahalle service center because of a problem with my vehicle’s right rear taillight. The case was handled under reference number 10415724260001. During this visit, I was not informed or warned that my vehicle’s scheduled maintenance was due or approaching its deadline. Had I received timely notification, I could have made the necessary arrangements and ensured that the maintenance was completed without delay.

On October 19, 2026, I returned to the Otokoç Yenimahalle authorized service center because the engine warning light had come on. This time, I was told that my vehicle was no longer covered by the warranty due to overdue scheduled maintenance and that any repairs would definitively be handled outside the warranty. I objected to this decision and submitted a separate complaint regarding the warranty cancellation. During a subsequent phone call, I was explicitly informed that the decision to cancel the warranty had been finalized and that my warranty had been revoked.

The possibility that the timing chain may need to be replaced in a relatively new 2024 vehicle is a serious cause for concern. I believe that such a failure should be investigated thoroughly and impartially from a technical standpoint, without automatically dismissing the possibility of a manufacturing defect solely because of a maintenance delay. Although warranty conditions may be subject to discussion, I believe that if the fault is manufacturing-related, Jeep should still stand behind its vehicle and its customer.

Frankly, I do not believe this approach reflects the standards expected of an established and trusted brand like Jeep. I intend to have my vehicle repaired at an authorized service center, request that the replaced parts be retained by the service center for technical examination, and file a complaint with the Consumer Arbitration Committee. This does not mean that I am giving up my consumer rights or abandoning my expectations of Jeep.

I sincerely hope Jeep will take the necessary steps to restore my confidence in the brand and resolve this negative experience through an approach that prioritizes customer satisfaction.
