iStock Overcharged Me $360 & Won’t Cancel Subscription Without Extra Fees

I initially signed up for an iStock free trial and later agreed to continue with a 12-month paid subscription. However, despite only downloading 5 images, iStock is now attempting to charge me an excessive $360.
To make matters worse, when I tried to cancel my subscription, I was informed that I would have to pay half of the next year’s subscription fee just to cancel! This is clearly an unfair and deceptive billing practice, designed to take advantage of customers.
I contacted customer service, but they failed to provide a reasonable explanation and offered no real assistance. After researching, I found that many other users have experienced similar unfair charges from iStock. This lack of transparency and excessive billing is a violation of consumer rights.
I demand:
A full refund for the unfair charges
Immediate cancellation of my subscription without additional fees
Improved transparency and fairness in iStock’s billing practices
If this issue is not resolved, I will file formal complaints with consumer protection agencies, including the Consumer Arbitration Board and CİMER. I urge other users facing similar issues to stand up for their rights and demand fair treatment.
