Customer Illusion and Incompetent Service at Ikea Bayrampaşa
I went to the Ikea website and saw a product that was available at the Bayrampaşa store. I went to the store, excited to buy it, only to be told they didn't have it. They later said they had it but couldn't get it down for me. After a while, G** expressed interest and said she could ship the item the next day. To continue, I paid for all of the items at the checkout and moved on to the shipping section. This ordeal lasted a whopping three hours! It is a crime to mislead customers with false information and to claim an unavailable product that is visible online. Employees showed no concern for customer satisfaction, behaved rudely, or showed inexperience, particularly among younger employees. Another nightmare was the shipping department. Despite the fact that they purchased the item on August 2, 2023, it took them an hour to process it. One delivery person even refused to accept the package, adding to the tension. Another employee eventually assisted, but the problems did not end there. When we called for an update, they said the item would be shipped on August 7, 2023, and that it was still in Bayrampaşa. This entire working system is abominable, and I intend to pursue legal action. Such behavior is unacceptable within a global corporation in Turkey.
