I’m a Hyundai Ioniq 5 owner, and I’m extremely frustrated with the short service interval policy set by Hyundai Turkey. While Kia, a sister brand, has increased its maintenance schedule to 2 years or 30,000 km, Hyundai still insists on 15,000 km or 1 year, which makes no sense—especially for a fully electric vehicle.
Other electric vehicle brands like Tesla and Togg offer much longer maintenance intervals, making Hyundai's policy feel outdated and opportunistic. Worse yet, all they do at these overpriced checkups is change a pollen filter and top up the windshield washer fluid, yet the service charge is a shocking ₺5,000 per year.
To make matters more frustrating, Hyundai in Europe follows the 2-year or 30,000 km policy, proving that Turkish customers are being treated unfairly.
Hyundai Turkey, I urge you to revise this unjust policy immediately. We should not have to pay thousands every year for what amounts to a basic inspection. If your global service standards are more customer-friendly elsewhere, they should apply here as well. Take responsibility and treat your Turkish customers with the respect they deserve.
