Hypic Charges Yearly Subscription During Free Trial Without Clear Consent
I downloaded and used the Hypic app on my iPhone with the intention of using only the free trial, but on January 11, 2026, my Polaris Bank card ending in 2856 was charged 59,900 for a yearly subscription without my clear consent. I did not intend to purchase a yearly plan and only wanted to try the free version. As soon as I noticed the charge, I immediately canceled the subscription, and the cancellation was completed successfully. My complaint is specifically about Hypic and the way this subscription was handled. I contacted Hypic support to request a refund, but I was informed that I am not eligible for a refund, even though this charge occurred while I was attempting to use the free trial and I did not want a yearly subscription. I find this situation unfair and misleading, as a free trial should not automatically result in such a high yearly charge without clear and transparent confirmation. I request a full refund of the 59,900 charged for the Hypic yearly subscription and written confirmation that no further charges related to Hypic will be made to my account.
