Huawei Watch Fit 3 Shows False Step Count and They Refuse to Accept a Return

I recently purchased a Huawei Watch Fit 3 and installed its app on my phone to start using it. However, on the very first evening, I noticed a serious issue: the watch randomly added around 60,000 extra steps to my daily total.
I reset both the watch and the app, but the problem happened again. I continued using the device for about a week, and each day, after a certain period of use, it wrongly recorded 60,000–70,000 steps. I also realized that even after the daily reset at midnight, the step count was still grossly inaccurate.
After a week of frustration, I decided to return the device to the retailer. I made it clear that I wanted a full refund, not a repair, because the product was defective right out of the box.
Instead, I received a message from the technical service saying, "We ordered a part for your device; it is currently under repair."
It’s incredibly disappointing that Huawei refuses to accept the return of a faulty new device, forcing customers into repair processes rather than standing behind their products.

It came back from the service with the same problem. The pedometer suddenly jumps to 18-40 thousand again. Since they don't accept returns, I guess we'll eventually reach the correct number with 20 thousand improvements each time. Maybe I should buy a cheap, unknown brand watch and send it in so they can learn what they've done right and not send it back with the same problem. It's clear now that they won't accept a return; it'll just keep going back and forth like this.
