Locked Out of My Hotmail Account & Unable to Recover

For the last six months, I've been having a hard time confirming that m*********@hotmail.com is really my email address, almost to the point of forgetting my password. Even though I have my registered phone number, 0******55, which I still use for all official matters, I can't verify that my email belongs to me. I want a solution that lets me reset the password by using the code sent to my current phone, instead of asking strange questions like listing recent emails or subjects. Sorry, I can't get the password for m*******@hotmail.com on my phone. I'm reaching out because I really need to get back into my email address, which I've had for about 25 years.
