I booked a holiday, and unfortunately, Hotels.com sold me a hotel located in Seferihisar, right in the middle of an area affected by wildfires, surrounded by burnt houses and trees. I explained to them that it’s impossible to enjoy a holiday in a place where everything is blackened, and the smell of fire is still so strong that it’s hard to breathe. The customer service representative said she understood the situation and told me I would be refunded. However, out of nowhere, I received an email stating that they would not issue a refund. I have photos of the area to prove the condition it’s in. Don’t trust their promises. They clearly don’t care about your safety. Be warned.
