I booked a 5-night hotel stay in Mecca through Hotels.com, paid in full, and received my confirmation. But when I arrived at the property, the hotel refused to check us in, claiming they don’t accept reservations made through Hotels.com and that our booking had no validity in their system.
I was completely stranded, and to make things worse, I couldn’t reach Hotels.com support through any of their phone numbers. The hotel made it clear that this wasn’t a mistake—they simply don’t work with Hotels.com. I then tried to request a refund through the site, but because it was already the check-in date, the platform wouldn’t allow a cancellation or refund.
This is unacceptable. I paid ₺ for a stay that never existed in the eyes of the hotel, and now I’m left without accommodation or a refund. I’m sharing this here because I’ve been ignored through regular support channels, and I’m determined to get my money back.
