Hotels.com Charged Without My Consent and Refused to Refund My Canceled Booking
On April 24, 2025, I attempted to make a booking for Elite World Marmaris Hotel through Hotels.com with reservation number 73089021337665. I entered my card details and clicked "Continue" only to review installment options — I had no intention to confirm the payment at that point.
However, without any OTP or bank confirmation request, the reservation was immediately finalized, and ₺43,581.35 was charged to my credit card in a single payment. I tried to cancel the transaction right away, but the booking was for a non-refundable room. As a result, the cancellation went through, but no refund was issued.
I was left completely helpless in a situation where I never properly authorized the charge. I am demanding that Hotels.com acknowledge this serious flaw in their booking system and refund the full amount. Customers should never be charged without explicit final confirmation, and this mishandling has caused significant financial and emotional stress.
