I only wanted to check how much the cancellation fee would be if I decided to cancel — but without any confirmation or acceptance on my part, the reservation was immediately canceled with just one click.
I am extremely frustrated because I had no intention to finalize the cancellation at that moment. Due to poor site design, lack of clear instructions, and the absence of an explicit confirmation step, I am now expected to pay for a trip I cannot take.
I demand that Hotels.com address this issue and reverse the cancellation charges. I should not be held financially responsible for a system error that did not properly confirm my decision. I hope this matter will be resolved fairly and promptly.
