Hoover Installation Gas Hose Installation Went Wrong



The authorized service that installed my Hoover brand built-in stove failed to secure the gas connection hose properly, causing it to loop much lower than it should. Consequently, the dishwasher, intended for under-counter installation, couldn't be mounted as the hose obstructed its placement, protruding outside. When I contacted the service responsible for the installation, they attempted to dismiss their error as a countertop cutting mistake, clarified that the countertop cutting was meticulously done based on the product's website dimensions. In response, they insisted on another service technician visit, claiming that the connection was normal and I should push the dishwasher into place myself. When I inquired about the safety of such an action, they assured me that it was fine since the hose was flexible. Upon reaching out to the Hoover call center to convey the situation and seek approval, I was informed there was no dedicated unit to address complaints and requests. Instead, I was instructed to email [email protected]. After sending an email, I received a vague message a week later, indicating my complaint had been closed without any explanation or resolution. This dismissive handling of my complaint by Hoover demonstrates the apparent helplessness one may feel when facing issues with their products. despite sending a follow-up email questioning why my complaint was closed, I have yet to receive a response even after 15 days. Unfortunately, the lack of responsiveness and resolution in this matter raises concerns about the effectiveness of Hoover's customer service. While I hope no further issues arise during the warranty period, this experience has made me hesitant to consider purchasing Hoover products again. I cannot, in good conscience, recommend Hoover to others based on the challenges and frustrations I have faced.
