I Face Broken Promise On 6-Year Security Updates For Honor 400
I purchased the Honor 400 smartphone from Media Markt specifically because the brand promised 6 years of security updates. This was the key reason I chose this model over others. However, just yesterday I found out that the promised update period has been reduced to only 3 years, which directly contradicts the guarantee that influenced my purchase decision.
This situation leaves me feeling misled as a customer. Security updates are not an optional feature; they are essential for protecting sensitive personal data and ensuring that the device remains safe to use long term. Cutting the promised support period in half not only reduces the value of the phone I bought, but also makes me worry about the reliability of future commitments by the brand.
I expect Honor to honor the original 6-year update commitment that was advertised at the time of purchase and to resolve my complaint transparently. As a customer, I should not bear the consequences of a broken promise, and I request my consumer rights be respected immediately.
