I Bought an Oppo A60 and Its Screen Cracked in My Pocket Without Impact
I purchased an Oppo A60 from Media Markt on December 22, 2024, and within a very short time, the screen cracked completely while it was in my pocket, despite never being dropped or subjected to any impact. This wasn’t just a small crack—it spread across the entire screen like a web of hairline fractures, resembling shattered glass. I was shocked and disappointed, especially since I had seen the device advertised as a durable phone that can drive nails into walls. That impression was clearly misleading.
When I returned to Media Markt, the representative didn’t even bother inspecting the phone properly and instantly blamed “user error.” This is unacceptable. I wouldn't be writing here if I had dropped the device—I would have accepted responsibility. But in this case, there was no misuse whatsoever, and the damage clearly points to a manufacturing or material flaw.
What frustrates me most is that I’ve recommended this phone to three other people, trusting the brand’s reputation. This incident not only ruined my trust but also made me feel responsible for misleading others.
I am formally requesting a replacement phone. I do not want a repair or a service evaluation—I expect a full device replacement as this is not something the user caused. Oppo, please take responsibility and resolve this issue promptly.
