I booked a car for a five-day period from Hertz at Priština Airport (Kosovo). Upon picking up the car, we noticed that the fuel tank was nearly at capacity. We made sure to return the vehicle in the same condition. Unfortunately, they insisted on charging us an additional fee. We provided videos of the fuel tank's condition upon car pickup, but despite our efforts, they still insisted on the charge. We suggested taking care of refueling the tank ourselves from the airport parking lot, but unfortunately, we were informed that we would be responsible for the parking fees. They continued to create challenges.
Eventually, they made a threat to involve law enforcement, but when we insisted on contacting them, they declined. Throughout the rental period, they made it clear that they do not accept cash as a result of their corporate policies. It was quite odd that they accepted cash for the fuel charge, even though we had made the payment by credit card. Their outward appearance may give off a corporate vibe, but their level of professionalism leaves something to be desired.
There was a man standing next to the woman we had a disagreement with at the Hertz counter in the airport; I don't think he worked there. His behavior was quite telling - he repeatedly clenched his fists during our argument, which came across as quite intimidating. I perceive this as an offer that carries a hint of hostility, yet is presented in a polite manner. I have no intention of collaborating with this company in the future.
