Hertz Pristina Charged Me €100 Without Consent and Refused to Accept a Full Tank
I had a very frustrating experience with Hertz in Pristina when I rented a car from them. First, they gave me the car with a tank filled for 480 km. When I returned it with 530 km worth of fuel—more than they gave me—they refused to accept it as full and charged me an extra €10 for fuel. That was the first red flag.
Then things got worse. Upon return, they claimed there was a scratch on the car, which I strongly disagreed with and told them clearly. I was never shown clear evidence, and I was assured it wouldn’t be an issue. Yet, without my permission, they went ahead and charged my credit card €100 for supposed damage. No warning, no approval—just unauthorized withdrawal.
To make matters worse, they dismissed my concerns and told me to just move on, as if this behavior was normal. They even said the car should have had a Hertz sticker, and when I told them there was none, they said it “must have fallen off.” Are you serious?
This was one of the most unprofessional and shady rental experiences I’ve ever had. Avoid renting from this location at all costs. I’ve never encountered a company that operates this way.
Hertz, you owe me an explanation and a full refund for the unauthorized €100 charge. I expect accountability and immediate resolution.
