HalalBooking Accused of Misleading Muslim Travelers with ‘Alcohol-Free’ Labels

As Muslims who used to rely on HalalBooking.com, I find the site has become a complete disappointment.

In the beginning, they had very strict standards about halal and conservative travel, but now they’ve loosened their rules. Even hotels that sell alcohol are now being promoted under “alcohol-free room” filters — clearly an attempt to broaden their sales policy.

Just the other day, while searching for a hotel in Ankara, I came across a listing marked as having alcohol-free rooms, yet the room photos themselves showed alcohol.

I’m not against alcohol being sold in hotels, but I strongly object to Muslims being misled so openly.
I’m sharing this so that others are aware of how HalalBooking.com’s policies have changed, and how misleading this practice is.
