I ordered a denim jacket from H&M’s online store during a sale and was genuinely excited about the purchase. Ten days after placing the order, I was informed that the item was “out of stock” and that my order was canceled. However, to my surprise and disappointment, the exact same jacket was relisted shortly after—this time without the discount and at a higher price.
I’m shocked that a brand as large as H&M would handle stock and customer trust this way. If something is truly out of stock, it should be gone—not conveniently reappear with a markup days later. This feels like a bait-and-switch tactic, and it’s incredibly disheartening, especially when I had been eagerly waiting for the item.
At the very least, they could have honored the original discounted price or fulfilled my order when restocked. I expected better from H&M. This experience has left me disappointed, and I’m questioning whether to continue shopping from a brand that doesn’t seem to value fairness or customer loyalty. I’m requesting a proper explanation and a chance to repurchase the item at the original price I paid.
