Unauthorized Google Play Charge Appeared on My Phone Bill

On September 18, 2026, at around 4:29 PM, I noticed that a $2.45 charge had been added to my mobile phone bill through the Play Store even though I had not made any purchases. I first received an SMS notification and then checked the mobile app, where I saw that this amount had been added to my bill.

I did not make any purchase through the Play Store, and I can see that this unauthorized charge was added to my bill as a one-time transaction. This situation is concerning from a security standpoint and has also left me facing a charge that I did not authorize.

I request that this unauthorized $2.45 transaction be investigated, that the charge be removed from my bill, and that the necessary security checks be carried out to prevent a similar incident from happening again.
