GetYourGuide Cancels Colosseum Tickets Without Clear Notice
On March 24, I purchased tickets through GetYourGuide for entry to the Colosseum, Roman Forum, and Palatine Hill in Rome, with a reservation date of April 2. However, my reservation was unilaterally canceled by the platform without clear or upfront notification.
The cancellation notice was sent via email on April 1, but it went to my spam folder and did not reach me in time. Additionally, the first page of the email only contained general travel information, while the actual cancellation notice was buried on the second or third page in very small print. As a result, I was unaware of the cancellation and continued my travel plans as scheduled.
When my reservation time arrived, I was unable to enter the Colosseum, and my travel itinerary was significantly disrupted. Despite having paid €132 for this tour/ticket service, I was unable to use it, and no resolution has been offered. I believe I was unfairly treated due to the lack of clear, visible, and timely communication regarding the cancellation.
I request a full refund of the €132 for the canceled reservation in order to resolve the inconvenience I experienced.
