Garmin Fenix 6 Pro Heart Rate Sensor Failure

My Garmin Fenix 6 Pro watch's heart rate sensor abruptly stopped working. It's astonishing to have such a problem with a well-known brand like Garmin, especially considering my spouse's watch from a different brand, purchased at a considerably lower cost, works wonderfully. While I can opt for compensated repairs now that the warranty has expired, the cost could be significant. I bought the Garmin brand expecting it to last a long time, but I was disappointed. It's a huge letdown for me, given how excitedly and passionately I bought it. I will not recommend it to anyone.
