Freelancer.com Upgraded Me to Premium Without Consent and Charged Unfairly

I am extremely frustrated with Freelancer.com for automatically upgrading me to a Premium membership without my knowledge or consent. I only found out about this when the platform attempted to charge my card at the end of the month. I never agreed to any paid subscription, yet I was forced to pay 9.99 USD just to close my account.

When I tried to delete my account to avoid further charges, the system wouldn’t let me proceed unless I paid the Premium fee first. It felt like I was being held hostage. This practice is unethical and manipulative, especially since 9.99 is a significant amount locally.

I demand a full refund for the unauthorized Premium charge and a review of their billing policies. No one should be charged for services they didn’t opt into. Freelancer.com must stop tricking users into hidden subscriptions.
