Figma Unexpectedly Charges Student $88 After Unclear Monthly Seat Increase

I am a Figma Professional – Monthly plan subscriber and the admin/owner of the team named "B**** S*** B*******'s team." On September 12, 2026, an automatic charge of $88 was billed to my credit card as part of the subscription renewal. Because I did not wish to renew, I canceled my subscription on the exact same day and contacted the Figma support team under request ticket #2127420 to request a full refund of the fee.

While the cost for the same Professional monthly subscription was $24 on my August 12, 2026 invoice, the renewal email sent on September 6 stated that the estimated cost for September 12 would be $73 before taxes, and that the amount was calculated based on "changes made to the plan since the last monthly renewal." On September 12, my account was ultimately charged $88.

Therefore, I cannot understand why the previous fee of $24 increased to $73. I do not have clear information regarding what changes occurred on my account, how many paid seats exist, the seat types, or the specific billing line items. I request a detailed explanation from Figma regarding this price difference and the breakdown of the invoice.

I am a university student, and the $88 charged was the remaining available balance on my credit card. Consequently, this has created a severe financial hardship for me. Even though I applied on the very day the fee was charged and canceled the subscription, no resolution has been provided yet.

I demand a full refund of the $88 charged on September 12, 2026, along with a written explanation detailing the price difference between August 12 and September 12, including the number of paid seats, seat types, and all billing line items.
