I ordered a package from Alibaba.com with tracking number 779347166360, only to receive an email that it was held up in customs. I reached out to FedEx, and they directed me to contact gumruk@medtria to resolve the issue. After repeated follow-ups, they finally calculated the taxes and fees for my item. To my shock, they quoted over $600 in customs charges for an item I purchased for only $45.
I don’t understand how such high fees were calculated, especially when the value of my item is just slightly over the 30 Euro limit. This situation is incredibly frustrating, as I’ve already paid for the product and now face charges that far exceed its value. I would appreciate guidance on how to address this and resolve it without losing my initial investment.
