My Alibaba order with tracking number 37284467570 was shipped via Aramex. Upon arrival in Istanbul customs, the package was subjected to customs inspection. According to the customs decision dated December 26, 2024, I was informed that:
“Since the total value of your goods, including the shipping cost, exceeds 30 euros, your item is subject to customs duty. In this case, individual clearance under BGB (with petition) cannot be processed.”
For my $100 product, I was charged a $500 file processing fee. Additionally, I was told that I needed to authorize financial advisors (customs brokers) to handle the process, which would incur further charges. I had already paid $113 via credit card, and these unexpected and excessive additional fees left me financially burdened and dissatisfied.
I contacted both Aramex and Alibaba customer service to request a refund, but my request was denied. I have been dealing with this issue for about 10 days, yet no solution has been provided.
I demand that the unjust extra charges be canceled and that my financial loss be fully compensated.
