Farmina N&D Complaint — Dog Got Sick After Sticky, Smaller Kibble Batch

I purchased the N&D Farmina Pumpkin & Lamb Adult Dog Food (7 kg) from Y&Y Petshop. My dog has been eating this food for years without any problems. However, when I opened this latest package, I immediately noticed that the kibble pieces were much smaller than usual and that the food was sticky and clumped together.

Even though I mixed it with the remaining portion of the previous food, my dog developed severe diarrhea, which lasted for a full week. I first contacted the pet shop, but they told me to reach out to the manufacturer instead — even though this is something the seller should help with. I later consulted our veterinarian, who advised me to stop feeding this food immediately, and as soon as we did, my dog’s condition improved.

I then reached out to Farmina customer service, submitted all the requested documents, order details, and lot number, but never received a response. Later, they asked for a veterinary report, which is unreasonable — our vet explained that the necessary tests would cost around 20,000–30,000 TL. It’s quite obvious the issue came from the food, as my dog eats nothing else. Even the vet suspects the food might be counterfeit, yet Farmina didn’t even bother verifying the product’s authenticity.

I’ve never experienced such a problem before. I demand a refund or replacement for this defective product. If no resolution is provided, I will file complaints with the Consumer Arbitration Board and the Provincial Directorate of Agriculture, as well as pursue all legal actions available to me.

Animal health should never be taken so lightly.
