Damaged Luggage and Excess Baggage Overcharge on Etihad Airways Flight
During my Istanbul to Bangkok flight with a layover in Abu Dhabi via Etihad Airways, my luggage was returned to me damaged. To make matters worse, I was charged 8,350 baht for just 6 kg of excess baggage, which is more than the price of my ticket (₺8,000). This felt like exploitation, as passengers are left with no choice at that moment.
I chose Etihad for its affordability, but had I known the additional costs, I would have opted for a direct flight with Turkish Airlines and traveled comfortably. This experience has been deeply frustrating, and I will never choose Etihad Airways again. I demand compensation for the damaged luggage and a review of these exorbitant baggage fees.
