Estee Lauder Misled Me on Advanced Night Repair Expiry and Took My Products
About three years ago, I purchased the Advanced Night Repair set through Trendyol and directly from Estée Lauder. During a sale period, I wanted to buy more than I needed. When I asked Estée Lauder stores about the product’s expiration date (EXP), I was told that it would not start until the cap was opened. However, on Trendyol’s Estée Lauder page, I found information stating that the EXP applies even if the cap remains sealed. I contacted Estée Lauder’s online customer service and was again told the EXP would not start unless the cap was opened. Relying on this incorrect information, I bought more products. Later, a friend warned me that the EXP is valid regardless of whether the cap is opened. Realizing my products were close to expiry, I wanted to return them. I contacted Trendyol but couldn’t get a clear answer before sending them. I was told I would be refunded the amount from two years ago, which I didn’t agree with, but I sent the products for review anyway. Afterwards, my products were lost and never returned. When I raised the issue with Estée Lauder, I was met with indifferent and mocking customer service. Due to this misinformation, I ended up with excess products and lost both my items and my money. I am requesting a refund based on the current value of my products.
