eDreams Prime Charged Without Consent
I am a customer in South Africa and recently discovered that I have been charged for an eDreams Prime membership in connection with my flight bookings, even though I did not knowingly agree to this service. On 10 March 2026, an amount of 229 ZAR was taken from my FNB account and 235 ZAR was taken from my Standard Bank account for eDreams Prime. These were not set up as visible debit orders; the money just went off my accounts, which is why I only noticed them afterwards. I never received any clear confirmation, phone call, or obvious consent step for activating an eDreams Prime membership, and I was not aware that I would be charged separate Prime fees in this way. Because of this, I believe the membership was added without my explicit and informed consent. I request that eDreams immediately cancels any active Prime membership linked to my details, issues a full refund of both charges (229 ZAR from my FNB account and 235 ZAR from my Standard Bank account taken on 10 March 2026), and sends me written confirmation that no further deductions of this kind will be made from any of my bank accounts in the future.
