My Dyson V15 Has a Defective Dustbin - They Denied Warranty
I am absolutely furious with my Dyson V15! Almost immediately after a few uses, I noticed its suction power was weak and contacted customer service for support. During a video call, they claimed there was no problem with the product and that my suction issues were because I wasn't cleaning by moving the vacuum in a single direction. They actually told me I needed to sweep my home by going forward in a straight line, then returning to the starting point, without any back-and-forth motion, and not to use the highest power setting! I accepted this ridiculous "technical advice" and tried to follow these absurd "orbital" cleaning instructions, but it was useless.
My own inspection revealed the real problem: the dustbin never properly seated in place! It's loose, leaving a gap, which is why the suction is weak. I created a service request and personally delivered the vacuum, fearing shipping damage. The result? They declared it "out of warranty" and are demanding ₺5,600 for a dustbin and clip replacement! So, I have to pay because their technical team couldn't diagnose the actual defect? This is outrageous. My dustbin is loose, and the product has not a single scratch. Dyson sent me a defective product from the start! The dustbin simply isn't compatible with the main head, leaving a gap that prevents proper sealing and weakens suction.
Customer service claims I "didn't specify the dustbin" as the problem, so my case was closed as "no error." How am I, not an engineer, supposed to know if the suction issue is from the head, motor, or dustbin? Despite me stating "no suction," they didn't even request the product for inspection; they just dismissed it via video call. Time passed, and now that it's truly unusable, they claim the warranty is expired. They can't point to any user error. The dustbin doesn't fit the head – the product is flawed. It's still got its protective plastic on from how little I've used it, and now they want me to pay? I absolutely refuse. When I try to file a complaint, customer service says they'll "inform technical service." I am complaining about the very team that told me there was no defect during the video call. This product was defective from day one. That small gap cannot be identified via phone. I was victimized. I demand Dyson replace this faulty product that they initially sent me!
