Dyson V15 Grip Causes Thumb Pain

I am using a Dyson V15 handheld cordless vacuum in Dallas, Texas, USA and, although the device itself works very well, the design of the handgrip is causing a physical problem on my right hand. Every time I use the vacuum, the hard plastic grip presses directly on my right thumb knuckle, which results in a blister and callus forming on that area, along with pain during and after use. From my photos and use, I also noticed that the problem is not only with the grip itself being hard plastic with no rubberized or soft material, but also with the area around the dust tank where the debris is collected. With every movement I make while vacuuming, my thumb knuckle constantly hits against the hard plastic around this tank, again without any cushioning or support, which increases the discomfort and irritation. The lack of any cushioning, padding or ergonomic support on the grip and the surrounding tank area means that my hand is in constant contact with hard plastic, and over time this has become very uncomfortable and irritating. I would like to continue using the product because I am satisfied with its cleaning performance, but the grip design is making regular use difficult. My expectation from Dyson is that an ergonomic solution is provided for this issue, such as a specially designed grip or attachment that can be placed over the handle and the contact area near the dust tank to protect the thumb knuckle and make vacuuming more comfortable. I kindly request that you evaluate this design problem and offer a suitable attachment or improvement so that the product can be used without causing pain or skin damage.
