Dyson V10 Extra Tube Snapped Near Carpet Head, Requesting Free Replacement
I purchased my Dyson V10 Extra cordless vacuum directly from Dyson’s official website with an invoice, approximately two years ago. As of yesterday, a serious break occurred on the tube near the carpet head. Because of this break, the product is now completely unusable.
I chose this product because I trusted Dyson’s material quality and the brand itself, and I paid a high price for it. I also use a robot vacuum from another brand at home, and I have had a corded vacuum for about 10 years—neither has ever had an issue like this. Experiencing a part break this severe after only two years does not match the quality I expect from Dyson and has been extremely disappointing.
When I contacted Dyson customer service, I was told the warranty had expired and that I could only purchase the broken part for an additional cost. However, I do not see this type of break occurring in such a short time as user error; I believe it is a material quality and durability issue.
For this reason, I request that the broken tube part be replaced free of charge, as a reflection of the trust I placed in the brand and the amount I paid. After this experience, I expect Dyson to offer a solution that reflects the quality and reliability associated with their name.
