I have a Dyson V15 vacuum cleaner, along with several other Dyson products. Unfortunately, I’ve had to send the V15 to technical service multiple times due to recurring issues with the motor, nozzle, chamber, and excessive noise. During the most recent service, Dyson sent me a V11 Torque Drive motorhead instead of the original V15 motorhead without any prior notice, claiming there was no stock. Despite the obvious difference between the motorheads, they argued this was the correct course of action. Now, I’m left questioning which parts of my vacuum are still original, especially since it started making even louder noises after the service.
There was no clear statement indicating that the V11 nozzle would be compatible with the V15, yet they sent the whole device back with this part. If I had wanted a V11, I would have bought one at a lower price. Instead, I paid more for the V15 and have been repeatedly let down. While I see numerous social media videos where Dyson replaces devices for minor issues, I’ve been unfairly treated. It seems Dyson only treats those they advertise with or have agreements favorably, which has completely shaken my trust in the company.
I expect my grievances to be resolved by replacing the entire device. If not, I will pursue my rights through every available channel, including the Consumer Arbitration Board. This level of service is not what I expect from a brand like Dyson.
