Duolingo Annual Fee Charged Without Clear Notification

On February 19, 2026, Duolingo charged $28 from my Garanti Bank credit card for an annual subscription without my knowledge. Even though I do not regularly use the app, I do not accept that such a high amount was charged without any clear notification to me.
After noticing the charge, I contacted Duolingo by email. I was told that a notification had been sent, but there is no such email or message in my inbox or on any other channel. I am experiencing hardship due to this subscription being renewed and charged without my knowledge or consent.
I request a full refund of the $28 annual subscription fee charged to my card and that my subscription be canceled in a way that ensures it will not renew again without my explicit approval.
